Dual Clanning

Unlike other units, AZO does not enforce dual clanning rules. Feel free to join and partake in other units whilst being a part of AZO.
03 · Training

Beginner Friendly

Our staff make themselves available to set you up if you're new to Arma 3. There is no mandatory training to attend or forms/applications to fill out.
04 · Ranks

Progression

AZO has endorsements where you can learn, develop, and specialise in a certain role or multiple. These include: Medic, Pilot (rotary, fixed-wing), JTAC, Armored Crewman, Demolition, Radioman, and Marksman. The more operations you attend, the higher classification of Operator you will receive.
05 · Community

Community First

After every operation, AZO sends out a feedback survey to the community. That input shapes future missions - our dedicated mission makers use it to tailor each operation. It's a continuous improvement cycle, always striving for higher quality.

Otto
SSGT. Otto
Year of Service: 2018-2020
AZO recognizes the foundational impact and enduring legacy of Staff Sergeant Otto. As one of the first founding members of AZO, SSGT. Otto did not merely hold a position, he built the framework upon which this community stands today.
Serving in the dual capacity of NCO and Staff Member, Otto bridged the gap between operational excellence and administrative integrity.
Operational Innovation
As an NCO, Otto was the architect of the innovative Platoon structure introduced in 2020, a system so robust it served as the core framework for AZO operations for years. He introduced a level of organization, discipline, and tactical rigor that transformed our operations and was embraced whole-heartedly by the membership.
Administrative Leadership
Within the Staff Team, Otto was synonymous with accountability. He established essential protocols, including mandatory staff meetings to ensure cohesion, prioritizing the health of the AZO community even when he could not be present on the field. His leadership was marked by an unpartisan, steadfast commitment to what was best for AZO as a whole.
There is a well-known reflection on history that perfectly captures the weight of his tenure: “There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen.” Though Otto’s time with us was relatively brief, it was precisely that kind of transformative era. In a highly concentrated window, he accelerated AZO’s evolution, fast-tracking advancements and structural changes that would normally take years to mature.
SSGT. Otto’s contributions shaped our history, and his standards define our present.
